Relaxing in these natural hot springs, next to the flowing Kern river under the California sun.
Why so early and during the week? Since this is in nature and public, it can get PACKED with other folks. My rule of thumb visiting places like this is to go during the week and to arrive by sunrise. With the peace that comes with hot springs, It’s best to keep the groups small. There will be 2 days with a capacity of 5 adults each day.
Warning: If you get car sick, there are winding mountain roads. This unfortunately is not a good idea for you.
Tuesday May 7th, 2024 - A day at a natural hot spring on the edge of the Kern river, relaxing in nature.
4am meetup in Glendale, just outside of LA, where everyone will hop in with me and I'll drive us to the hot springs arriving just after sunrise.
4am is early AF but you are more than welcome to sleep on the way up and back.

What to wear/ bring:
- Wear your bathing suit and anything comfortable and easy to get in and out of
- Wear shoes with a grip as the trail in and out is very steep.
- Bring sunscreen
- Bring a microfiber towel as they dry quickly
- Bring river shoes i.e. sandals/ water shoes with a sturdy sole that secures your foot

Cancellation fees will be enforced per person according to the following schedule, contingent upon when your written email notification is received:
If a participant initiates a cancellation via email to The Unpopular Black with over 90 days' notice before the adventure start date, they will receive their deposit and subsequent payments as a credit for future adventures with The Unpopular Black. This credit will expire one year after being issued.
Cancellations made by the participant via email to The Unpopular Black less than 90 days before the adventure start date will result in the forfeiture of all payments, including the deposit and any subsequent payments.
No refunds will be granted for any reason for an unused portion of an adventure once the adventure begins. This includes instances where a person voluntarily leaves the adventure or is removed from it. The adventure price constitutes a package cost, and refunds and credits are not available for services not utilized.
This cancellation and refund policy applies universally, without exceptions, encompassing circumstances beyond our control such as weather, terrorism, civil strife, personal, family, or medical emergencies. We strongly advise acquiring trip cancellation and interruption insurance, as well as travel protection, including travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services.
The Unpopular Black bears no responsibility for expenses incurred by participants in trip preparation, such as nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets or equipment, or for any additional arrangements made pre- or post-departure date. This policy applies irrespective of whether the adventure is altered, modified, or canceled by us or by you for any reason.
