Sunday October 13th - Fly into Las Vegas by 3pm. As a group, head to VRBO in St. George, UT 2 hours away.
Monday, October 14th -
Out the door by 5:30am to get to Valley of Fire State Park by 7am. The early sun against the red, orange, and purple rock formations and sand will be phenomenal and this way we will beat the crowds as much as the desert midday heat. We will take 2 short hikes with plenty of time to stop and get pictures and video.
We’ll leave here around lunch time and grab food as well as head back to the VRBO to relax for a few hours.
We’ll head to Kanab, UT for a quick, early dinner then head to Coral Pink Sand Dunes where we’ll ATV across the dunes to catch the sunset, roast s’mores and witness the dark sky lit up by stars and hopefully the Milky Way galaxy!
Tuesday, October 15th -
We’ll have an early brunch before heading to Sand Hollow Reservoir where we’ll spend the majority of the day on the deep turquoise water surrounded by incredible red mountains and sand. We’ll have a boat for about 6 hours with inflatables to ride behind for fun. There will be drinks, music, and vibes as well as the ability to find little coves to swim and explore.
By the time we leave the reservoir, it’ll be time to head back to wash up and go to dinner. Depending on when we get back from dinner we’ll have some fun playing games back at the house.
Wednesday, October 16th - Plan to be to Las Vegas no earlier than 12pm to fly out.

Sand Hollow & Milky Way - 10/13-16/2024
Cancellation fees will be enforced per person according to the following schedule, contingent upon when your written email notification is received:
If a participant initiates a cancellation via email to The Unpopular Black with over 90 days' notice before the adventure start date, they will receive their deposit and subsequent payments as a credit for future adventures with The Unpopular Black. This credit will expire one year after being issued.
Cancellations made by the participant via email to The Unpopular Black less than 90 days before the adventure start date will result in the forfeiture of all payments, including the deposit and any subsequent payments.
No refunds will be granted for any reason for an unused portion of an adventure once the adventure begins. This includes instances where a person voluntarily leaves the adventure or is removed from it. The adventure price constitutes a package cost, and refunds and credits are not available for services not utilized.
This cancellation and refund policy applies universally, without exceptions, encompassing circumstances beyond our control such as weather, terrorism, civil strife, personal, family, or medical emergencies. We strongly advise acquiring trip cancellation and interruption insurance, as well as travel protection, including travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services.
The Unpopular Black bears no responsibility for expenses incurred by participants in trip preparation, such as nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets or equipment, or for any additional arrangements made pre- or post-departure date. This policy applies irrespective of whether the adventure is altered, modified, or canceled by us or by you for any reason.
You are purchasing a ticket to hold your place on this adventure. In order to finalize your place, we will meet virtually to quickly get to know each other but more importantly for me to answer questions or expectations.
You will receive a follow up email with a link to schedule this meeting. It is mandatory in order to participate. If the dates and times available do not work for you, email me immediately with your suggested availability.
If we decide there is a misalignment, you will receive your payment back minus the processing fee.
